Build Thread Part 14

With a new look on the car for this year, and with some great publicity, it was time to get back to racing and the show season. I had decided over the winter that I wanted to transition from doing mainly track cross events with the goal of getting into real time trial racing, with National Auto Sport Association (NASA) and to continue to attend regional car events. In order to get into TT racing though, I have to work my way up through HPDE and then get my competition license. First up for this year was ImportExpo DC at the beginning of March, at the Washington DC convention center, and NASA Mid Atlantic’s (NASA MA) Spring Rumble event at Summit Point, WV which was April 15th and 16th. For ImportExpo, I took home first place in their "best euro" class. It was a great way to kick off the season, seeing a lot of my local friends and some awesome DMV area builds. For Spring Rumble I started the weekend in HPDE1 and graduated to HPDE2 by the end of the event. It was my first time back on Summit Main in over a year and the car felt excellent. From my first run to the end of the day Sunday, I consistently took time off my laps and got more confident with the car, predicting how it would react in every situation.
